How to join the programme

A referral to Sefton Park may come from any source - family, friends, the medical profession, social worker, and the probation service or directly from the prospective client.

The assessment process enables the Sefton Park team to ascertain that the programme is suitable for the client and that we are able to meet their needs.

Booking an Assessment
To understand the information we collect prior to arranging an assessment please read the following guide
Information For Booking an Assessment.pdf

All prospective clients make personal contact with Sefton Park by telephone to discuss the assessment process and to make arrangements to attend at Sefton Park for the assessment. The client will meet current residents and from them gain a good understanding of the programme from the client perspective.

All assessments are dealt with on an individual basis, with our primary concern being the continuing safety and well being of the Therapeutic Community.

We notify all clients of the outcome of their assessment via their referral source within 24 hours. Admission is arranged at this time.

We accept people from the age of 18 through to 64. We do not accept couples, children, tagging orders, acute mental health cases or those requiring long-term mood-altering medication.

Please contact us if you need any advice or assistance regarding how to join our programme: we are happy to answer any questions you may have.
